Rasmus Højlund had a disappointing season with Manchester United, scoring four league goals from 32 games. The former Atalanta man could return to Italy this summer, where Inter Milan have him on their target list.
On June 6th, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Inter director Piero Ausilio had contacted the Red Devils for the striker. They also stated the player had given his approval to the Serie A club.
On June 15th, we covered claims from Italy that it was ‘full speed ahead’ for Inter to sign the 22-year-old.
Tuesday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport reports the Nerazzurri are working on signing Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny. There’s currently a €3m gap between the two clubs and Inter remain optimistic of concluding this operation.
Bonny will join Lautaro Martínez, Marcus Thuram and Mehdi Taremi at the San Siro. The newspaper states Taremi is expected to leave and could move to Turkey where Beşiktaş have made contact.
The 32-year-old’s departure will open the door for a new striker, and this is where the Manchester United player comes into the picture. Corriere report Højlund is Inter’s preferred choice, and he’s already given his approval to them.

Inter aim to sign the Denmark international on loan with purchase option/obligation and Ruben Amorim’s side haven’t opened up to this. Manchester United continue to push for a sale at €45m and aren’t budging so far.
