Bad news for Jack Grealish as Napoli now looking to sign £21m winger in the same position -…

It seemed like there was a possibility that Jack Grealish would be reunited with Kevin De Bruyne with Napoli.

Napoli were watching Grealish closely among a series of clubs as he looks set to depart Manchester City this summer.

However, Grealish’s wages were an issue for Napoli as he banks a whopping £300,000-a-week, as he is one of the highest-paid players in Europe.

Since then, there have been more twists when it comes to the 29-year-old’s potential move to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Napoli eyeing Noa Lang despite Jack Grealish interest

From Jack Grealish’s perspective, he could very well be frustrated after being left out of City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Antonio Conte asked De Bruyne about Grealish and the Belgian apparently gave a “glowing” assessment to the Italian tactician and was on board with playing with him again.

But the former Aston Villa winger might have to forget about his chances of playing in Naples as journalist Alfredo Pedulla has revealed that Conte’s side have offered €25 million plus €2 million (£21.3 million plus £1.7 million) in add-ons to sign Noa Lang.

However, PSV Eindhoven are demanding Napoli to shell out €5 million (£4.2 million) in add-ons if they wish to sign the Dutchman.

Rio Ferdinand would like Grealish to join Napoli, who seem to be fancying a move for Lang instead and the latter himself would like to sign for the Serie A winners despite having an offer from a mystery Premier League club on the table.

What Man City are willing to do to help Jack Grealish find his next club

While Manchester City have decided to sell Grealish, they do not have any animosity towards him whatsoever.

So much so that City are willing to hand the Englishman the time to find his next club during the summer rather than prompting him to leave as soon as possible.

As a result, Napoli’s pursuit of Lang may not be a huge blow for Grealish if he ultimately signs for his club of choice.
