The Pittsburgh Steelers are rumored to have interest in trading for Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill made it clear over the weekend that he doesn’t want to see Ramsey anywhere else in 2025.
Speaking at Fanatics Fest, Hill said that he is going to do his best to keep Jalen Ramsey in Miami.
“Oh, I’m going to hang out with Ramsey next week, man,” Tyreek Hill said. “So I’m going to get him back, full-court press. I’m getting Ramsey back in a Dolphins jersey. I don’t care what they say.”
ESPN insider Adam Schefter said last week on The Pat McAfee Show that he expects Ramsey to get traded before the start of NFL training camps. The former Florida State star spent the past two seasons in Miami, after previously playing for the Jaguars and Rams.
“The Dolphins continue to have conversations about trading Jalen Ramsey, and I think that a trade there will get done,” Schefter said on The Pat McAfee Show. “The question is, when does it get done? Does it get done next week, the week after, prior to the start of training camp?
“I don’t know exactly when it’s gonna be, but Jalen Ramsey will get traded. It’ll be, I would expect, before the start of training camp."
Still, Tyreek Hill isn’t giving up hope. Hill and Ramsey both entered the NFL ahead of the 2016 season, before going on to star in the league.
Hill has five first-team All-Pro selections, while Ramsey has three. Both players are also Super Bowl champions.
“We need Ramsey. He’s a dog,” Hill said. “He’s one of the best corners in the league, a great leader. A great teammate, too, though. That’s what he doesn’t get a lot of credit for, man. Plus me and him both are on Year 10. We just need him on the Dolphins, man.”
While Pittsburgh is reportedly a potential trade destination if Ramsey does get moved, Schefter reported last week that Ramsey would prefer to return to the West Coast.
The 30-year-old played for the Los Angeles Rams from 2019-2022 and is reportedly interested in returning to the area. Ramsey won a Super Bowl during his time in Los Angeles.
“We’ll see how it shakes out, where he goes,” Schefter said. “I think he would like to go to the West Coast, to the Los Angeles Chargers, somewhere like that. And we’ll see how that happens.”
