Mason Mount has had a rocky start to his Manchester United career since joining from Chelsea in 2023.
The attacking midfielder has been plagued with injuries, leading to the 26-year-old having only made 46 appearances across two season, grabbing four goals and a single assist.
Due to his repeat visits to the Carrington treatment room, it’s been expected that he’ll be a part of United’s overhaul this summer, with The Red Devils offloading him to create funds and space for new signings.
Former United chief scout Mick Brown has suggested that Aston Villa could make a push to sign Mount in their preparations for next season.
However new reports from King of the Transfer Window Fabrizio Romano have revealed a clear intent from the former England international.

Romano has reported that Mason Mount is determined to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his spot in the team.
The Italian journalist took to his YouTube channel, commenting: “We had stories about Mason Mount maybe leaving Manchester United. Mason Mount maybe involved in some swap deals this summer.”
Romano continued: “What I can tell you today guys is, obviously we have plenty of time this summer transfer window to see things evolving, to see surprises, but as of today, the end of June, the clear intention of Mason Mount is to stay at Manchester United.”
“Mason Mount is planning to continue at United. Mason Mount is planning to have an important pre-season, feeling well, being fully fit, working under Ruben Amorim who always spent important words for Mason Mount during his first season as Manchester United coach. So always showing his full confidence in the player.
“Now obviously it’s about being fit, being ready, but the intention of Mason Mount is to stay at Manchester United.”
