Nottingham Forest transfer statement released as player clause activated

Andrew Omobamidele has left Nottingham Forest, the club has confirmed.

Omobamidele has departed the City Ground to join Strasbourg, having spent the second half of last season on loan at the Ligue 1 club.

“Nottingham Forest can confirm that Andrew Omobamidele has completed a permanent transfer to Strasbourg,” a Reds statement read.

“The defender joined Strasbourg on loan in January, with the Ligue 1 side now activating an option to make the transfer permanent.

“Omobamidele joined Forest in September 2023, going on to make 15 appearances for the Club in all competitions.

“After moving to France, the 22-year-old played 11 times for Strasbourg in the second half of last season.

“Everyone at Nottingham Forest wishes Andrew well for the future and thanks him for his contribution during his time at the Club.”
