Illan Meslier is set to pack his bags as a move away from Leeds United is firmly on the cards this window.
This comes after it was revealed to LeedsUnited.News that Meslier has interest from Turkey and a move there could very soon come to fruition.
The Frenchman has been flirting with the prospect of potentially leaving Elland Road this season, after a dismal campaign for Leeds.
Meslier’s display in the 3-3 draw to Hull City was one of many shocking performances that led to him ultimately being dropped.
Now, the Whites will be looking to gain some profit from Meslier’s transfer, but it’s certainly one they’ll have to tread lightly on, according to Eddie Gray.

Eddie Gray’s prediction about Illan Meslier amid Leeds United exit
The eventual transfer won’t come as a surprise to the Whites faithful after his mistakes ultimately almost ended up costing promotion.
This is actually what the 49ers hierarchy pinned it down to as the owners blamed Meslier for Leeds’ stumbles.
But his six-year tenure at Elland Road hasn’t been all bad, as Meslier has come up with big saves at times.

Despite this, it does seem the negatives outweigh the positives, but Leeds legend Gray has looked beyond this.
Speaking at the end of last season, Gray made a prediction about Meslier, and it definitely took fans by surprise.
“I think people have been a bit quick to criticise Meslier,” Gray said.
“Goalkeepers don’t mature till 28/29, and I think he’ll become a top goalkeeper.
“He’ll definitely play for France at the top level, he’s got all the attributes.”

Leeds will hope Gray’s Meslier prophecy doesn’t come true
With the Frenchman searching for the exit door, the 49ers will definitely want to recoup a fee.
Back in 2019, the Whites paid £5m to bring the keeper to Yorkshire, and you’d expect the owners to look for some profit from the clubs interested, being Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
But more to the point, Leeds will hope they don’t regret the signing, as fortunes can change very quickly for goalkeepers, and Gray’s prediction could happen.
Look at Emi Martinez for example, he was a nobody for many years at Arsenal, and now he is arguably the best shot-stopper in the world.
It’s clear there is potential there, as Newcastle and Chelsea once wanted Meslier’s signature.
This shouldn’t paper over the cracks of Meslier’s campaign though, as the mistakes he made last season were unacceptable.
The decision looks the best one for all parties, but just in the back of Daniel Farke’s mind, there may be a glimmer of doubt after Gray’s comments.
