Nottingham Forest receive huge boost as another 'agreement done' after Nuno Espirito Santo

Neco Williams is said to have agreed a new contract at Nottingham Forest.

Williams is heading into the final 12 months of his current deal at the City Ground, but the Wales international is understood to have agreed a new contract to stay at the club until 2029, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano stating it’s “agreement done” between the player and club.

Williams signing a new deal would be another huge boost for Forest, after Nuno Espirito Santo committed to the club until 2028.

Williams has developed into a big player for the club.

He was one of the team’s most consistent performers in the second half of last season as he pinned down his spot in the first XI.

He will be crucial for Forest again next term as Nuno prepares to lead his side into Europe. The Reds will test themselves in the Conference League in 2025/26, following their seventh-placed finish in the Premier League.

Williams is currently recovering from an ankle injury he suffered on international duty after the end of the season.

“So frustrating to pick up this injury at the end of the season but now it’s rest, recover and get back ready for pre-season,” he said earlier this month.
