Chelsea are desperate to sign a new winger this summer. They have 20 year old winger as their top priority. Now, one top journalist has reported that they are likely to complete the deal for him imminently.
Chelsea had Jadon Sancho on loan for the last season. They were keen to sign him on permanent deal this summer. But, they were unwilling to pay Sancho his desired wages. The player rejected to lower his wages and hence the Blues opted to send him back to Man United.
Chelsea are now short of attackers on the left side. Hence, they are planning to sign a left winger who is young. As of now, they have Jamie Gittens as their top priority. They tried to sign him before the club world cup. At that time, they offered £42 million but Dortmund rejected the offer.
Chelsea to complete the signing of Gittens soon
According to David Ornstein, the Blues are likely to complete the deal for Gittens very soon. He has reported that both clubs are in constant talks at USA. There has been agreement between the clubs despite interest from Bayern Munich.
Earlier, there were reports that Gittens has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea. Now, Ornstein has reported that the 20 year old is fully commited to the Blues who have offered him 7 year long contract.

Gittens is likely to get into the starting lineup directly. He will be new left winger who can be used on right when needed by Enzo Maresca. But, this signing might open exit doors for other wingers present at Stamford Bridge.
One player who will surely have his game time reduced is Noni Madueke. The 23 year old has been inconsistent and has fallen down the pecking order. In addition, he is no longer considered untouchable by the Blues. Hence, a right offer will be the end of his time at West London.
