Exclusive: Man Utd star to be offered £165,000-a-week deal to leave Old Trafford

Fenerbahce are pushing to sign Jadon Sancho and are prepared to pay the Manchester United winger over €10m (£8.5m) in salary, which works out at around £165,000-a-week.

The Turkish giants had previously gone head-to-head with Galatasaray for Leroy Sane. Having lost out on the ex-Bayern Munich winger, Jose Mourinho's side are now exploring a deal for Sancho. GMS understands the Portuguese tactician has held a direct call with the player.

It is still unclear whether Sancho will agree to Fenerbahce or hold out for a move to one of Europe's big-five leagues. The 25-year-old's preference was to remain at Chelsea, but the parties failed to agree terms, leading to the west Londoners overriding an obligation to buy of up to £25m by paying Manchester United a £5m penalty fee.

Manchester United still want around £25m for Sancho, having held out for closer to £50m 12 months ago when Saudi suitors, including Al-Ettifaq, made enquiries. Saudi interest remains, particularly from Al-Ahli and potentially Al-Nassr if they fail to land top target Luis Diaz, of Liverpool, but Sancho has not indicated to date that he is open to a switch to the Saudi Pro League.

Fenerbahce are prepared to offer Manchester United in excess of £15m, but it's not thought they will go as high as £25m. It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will drop their asking price.

Napoli also have Sancho firmly on their radar and will hold talks with his camp this week. Sancho is open to joining the Serie A champions, who have the financial means to do a quick deal, which is Manchester United's clear preference.

Borussia Dortmund have also considered offering Sancho a return, but nothing is advancing as it stands. However, should Jamie Gittens move to Chelsea, the Bundesliga heavyweights will reassess their left-sided options. Juventus appreciate Sancho as well, but GMS understands links with Arsenal are wide of the mark.
