Barcelona forward Ansu Fati is reportedly set to renew his contract at the club before sealing a loan switch to Ligue 1 side Monaco.
The youngster is expected to have a medical with Monaco later this week but before then he will put pen to paper on a contract extension in Catalunya.
According to Cadena SER, Fati will extend for one more season - to help Barcelona out with financial fair play - and then jet out to Monaco for a new challenge.
The forward will sign on an initial season-long loan, although the transfer is still expected to include a purchase option of around €11 million. The report adds that Barcelona are also hoping to include a preferential buy-back option set at around €28m.
Fati is then expected to have his medical in France on Saturday and complete his transfer in time for the start of pre-season with Monaco on July 1.
