Jose Mourinho has just finished his first season with Fenerbahce, helping them to hold second place in the Turkish Super Lig for the fourth year in a row.

Unfortunately for the Turkish side, it’s been 11 years since their last league title, and two years since their last Turkiye Kupasi title.

Now, Mourinho is looking to reinforce his squad ahead of his second season with the club as he prepares for Champions League qualifiers and to dethrone who won the Super Lig for the third year in a row.

In a bid to reinforce their attack, Fernebahce are looking to Manchester United wantaway Jadon Sancho, who’s set to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Sancho has had a rocky road at Old Trafford, with his downfall starting back at the end of 2023 as a public bust up with then-manager Erik ten Hag seemingly ended his United career.

The winger has spent the last season and a half on loan with Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, with the latter paying a £5 million penalty clause to get out of their £25 million obligatory buy this summer.

Ultimately his wages proved to be too much for Chelsea to commit to, however they don’t appear to be an issue for Fenerbahce.

The Turkish side have reportedly already agreed terms with Sancho over a £8.5 million salary.

However, CaughtOffside has now now reported that Jose Mourinho contacted Sancho directly to discuss his potential move.

Fenerbahce currently have Allan Saint-Maximin on loan from Al-Ahli covering the left wing, however Sancho would provide permanent cover for the role, with Oguz Aydin as the only other left-winger.

With United wanting to offload the winger this summer as he enters the last 12-months of his contract, it’s expected that a deal between The Red Devils and Fenerbahce should be achieved fairly easily.
