**Money is a big sticking point in any deal with Arsenal and Benjamin Sesko.**
The longer the Benjamin Sesko saga continues, the more Arsenal fans must be wondering if the RB Leipzig striker "really" wants north London.
With several roadblocks popping up over the past 48 hours, none are good as the Gunners hope to secure a swift deal to have Sekso ready for preseason in the coming weeks.
The first "does he really want us" moment came when reports surfaced that Sesko's party wanted a release clause in his contract, which means to us that if a bigger club comes calling, then Sesko could leave should that release clause be met.
That isn't ideal.
And if that wasn't enough for fans to go "hmm," then his wage demands might. Seemingly wanting more than what the Gunners are willing to offer, we have heard of several players taking a little less because they believe in what a club is building, etc.
These two things seemingly point in the other direction.
Of course, both could just be a power play, but Leipzig, per [Miguel Delaney of The Independant](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-benjamin-sesko-gyokeres-madueke-striker-transfer-b2775312.html), want just over €80m for Sesko, which is what his release clause is, but the Gunners are only willing to go to €70m.
So, who will blink first, and perhaps more importantly, does Arsenal want to blink?
We have heard several reports that Sesko is Arsenal's No. 1 target, but fans can be forgiven for thinking "is he worth the hassle?" and to that we say, if the talent is good enough, yes.
And the consensus is that Sesko would slot in nicely to lead the Gunners' front line.
Of course, there is also Viktor Gyokeres who the Gunners are also interested in, and the longer the back-and-forth goes with Sesko, his release clause and wage demands, we get the sense that this striker search might continue for a while yet.
And for a club desperate to get all deals done before preseason, that isn't a great spot to be.
