Ex-Chiefs star Justin Reid sold special bourbon bottle at charity golf tourney in KC

The least amount of success the Chiefs had during safety Justin Reid’s three seasons in Kansas City was a Super Bowl appearance.

Reid was part of the Chiefs teams that won Super Bowl LVII and Super Bowl LVIII and he played for the team that lost Super Bowl LIX in February. During the offseason, Reid signed with the New Orleans Saints, but he still has a place in his heart for Kansas City.

On Monday, Reid was at the Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City for a golf event supporting his J Reid Indeed! charitable foundation.

Current Chiefs James Winchester and Joshua Williams played in the event, along with former KC receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Mecole Hardman.

“Kansas City is a part of me. Like, I love Kansas City, I feel like Kansas City loves me back,” Reid told reporters, per KSHB-TV’s Matt Foster. “I didn’t know how much I would love it before coming here, but since I’ve been here the last three years and the way that the community has embraced me, and I embrace the community back, I want to stay here and have a piece of being part of it for the rest of my life.

“I mean, I love it here that much that I’m really motivated to continue to do events and continue to have my foundation operate here.”

In addition to having the charitable event at a Kansas City golf course, Reid sold special autographed bottles of bourbon from a local distillery, J. Rieger & Co.
