They don’t want to face the same fate again, and so need more depth at the top of the pitch, and one name that they have been linked to is Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, who could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Madueke comes off a season where he made 43 appearances for Enzo Maresca’s side. He scored 11 goals and provided five assists. He has also cemented his place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad ahead of the World Cup next year. But how have Arsenal fans been reacting to the Gunners’ interest in the 23-year-old?
Replying to this post by AFTV on instagram, several Gunners fans weren’t happy with the news, and don’t want the Gunners to sign Madueke…
“I’m honestly done with this team” responded @balanced_sanj, whereas @uberafc said “if Chelsea pay us £50m I’ll take him.”
There were several other disapproving comments too, with @kayaanissar saying “giant protest at the Emirates if we buy him please”, and @olsy100 commenting: “This is not an improvement in any way shape or form. Pls we don’t want him.”
However, there were some positive comments from some fans who would like to see Arsenal sign Madueke. @sir_dulce_ said: “Noni is good and direct I’d take him”, and @t.r.e.x_94 said: “I’d take him…to be a backup for Saka.”
Would Chelsea sell Madueke to Arsenal?

It seems that at the moment, the Blues aren’t willing to sell Madueke to a rival, they have set the £50m price tag, that maybe they would accept if Arsenal were to make a bid for the winger.
However, it is likely that Chelsea would rather sell him to a team who is not in the Premier League, rather than a potential rival to the league title such as Arsenal.
It would be more likely that the Gunners look for alternative targets such as Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, who they have also been linked with.
