Aston Villa are seriously interested in bringing Barcelona star Ferran Torres back to the Premier League, according to TBR Football.
The Villans are keen to strengthen their squad during the transfer window after their season ended in disappointment, as they failed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League following a final day defeat to Man Utd.
Unai Emery is expecting to see some players depart the club this summer due to financial issues with PSR and FFP limits, but he also wants to ensure the squad isn't weaker and opportunities in the market are being explored.

Spaniard falling down the pecking order at Barcelona
Ferran Torres celebrates scoring for Barcelona
The 25-year-old, who currently earns in excess of £207,000-a-week at the Camp Nou, made 45 appearances for Hansi Flick's side in the 2024/25 season but the majority of them came from the substitutes bench.
Despite scoring 19 goals, Barcelona are looking to add to their attack with winger Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, while there is also said to be interest in Marcus Rashford, and young forward Roony Bardghji is set to join from FC Copenhagen too.
That will leave Torres, described as 'remarkable', even further down the pecking order than he was last season and with just two years remaining on his contract it could be the perfect solution for all parties for him to leave.

Aston Villa are now said to be 'seriously considering' making a move for the Spain international, who spent two seasons at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, and manager Emery 'would absolutely love' to make him part of his squad at Villa Park for the new season.
After Jhon Duran left for Al Nassr during the January window, Aston Villa signed Rashford and Marco Asensio on loan but neither deal has been made permanent and both look unlikely following the team's failure to qualify for the Champions League.
A move to sign Zepiqueno Redmond has already been agreed and signed for the young striker to join on a free transfer when his contract at Feyenoord expires. They're also said to be keen on a move for his teammate Igor Paixao, while there is also interest in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
