Arsenal have recently held talks to sign Ajax youngster Jorrel Hato, and his agent has been in London over the last few days, according to journalist Gianluigi Longari.
The Gunners are yet to complete a signing in the summer transfer window, but they have been working behind the scenes to try and close a few deals. The Athletic recently reported that Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa is expected at London Colney this week to complete a move to the Emirates Stadium in a £5m deal.
Arsenal are also set to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, with a deal expected to go through over the next few weeks. Adding a new forward does appear to be another major priority for the north London club, but it's a tough market to shop in with a host of clubs looking to strengthen in the same position.

It will be interesting to see whether Hato would be keen on a move to Arsenal, considering the options Mikel Arteta already has at his disposal. Hato is a centre-back or left-back by trade, and is likely going to have to compete with Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, among others, for a place in the starting XI.
Reports have suggested that the Gunners have already made an offer to Hato, with a six-year deal on the table for the young defender. Hato, described as a 'world-class' young defender, is undoubtedly a top talent who is ready to make the move to the Premier League, but he will have to consider where he's going to continue playing regularly.
