Nottingham Forest News can exclusively reveal how the football club feels about Newcastle United’s offer for Anthony Elanga.
The Magpies have finally put their money where their mouth is and bid for Elanga after months of speculation.
However, the bid is nothing short of comical.
After bidding £30 million and offering Miguel Almiron to Forest last summer, Newcastle have upped the ante to £45 million, despite Elanga scoring six goals and claiming 12 assists last season.
Elanga is popular in the Forest dressing room, and it would appear as though the club see him as part of the future on Trentside.

How Nottingham Forest feel about Newcastle bid for Anthony Elanga
Forest aren’t impressed with the offer received from Newcastle, and Graeme Bailey has exclusively told Nottingham Forest News some more information.
He told us: “Whilst not laughable, I am told that the offer for Elanga was not even ‘worthy of attention’ – Forest want to enhance their squad and up to two more wide players are wanted for Nuno to utilise.
“Elanga is firmly part of their plans. Newcastle have tried their luck, but they are way off in terms of value, I am told. As it stands, the player is showing no signs of wanting to leave this summer.”
“Should Elanga push to move, the situation could change – but his value won’t and Newcastle are miles off it at £45m.”

Forest close to signing Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula
Newcastle fans will likely be putting some numbers together but coming up with a total which is miles off, given that Forest are linked with two forwards.
Talks are ongoing between Forest and Juventus over Weah and Mbangula coming to the City Ground this summer in permanent deals.
Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to give his squad a makeover this summer and Igor Jesus is set to sign for Forest after the Club World Cup as the first new recruit.
As for Elanga, it’s a case of watch this space but it’s brilliant to hear that Evangelos Marinakis will be driving a hard bargain when it comes to the club’s best players this summer.
