The club will hope they have better luck when it comes to other players. Leeds are ‘confident’ of tying down Dan James to a new deal according to Teamtalk. The Welshman was outstanding last season, playing a huge part in the title win with 12 goals and nine assists.
James’ current deal ends next year, and Leeds have a new two year contract on the table for him. Both sides are said to be pleased, and a deal could be wrapped up soon.

The winger is also able to carry the goalscoring burden when needed. Since January, it was his consistent performances that played a huge role during the run in.
The 27-year old finished as the club’s second top scorer in the league, and provided the third-most assists.
He was unfortunate to go down with an injury in the final few weeks, but even then, the impact he had on the season was undeniable. Leeds are rightfully rewarding him for the future.
