It's been a busy start to the summer transfer window for Liverpool, and of their next priorities could be to bring in a new centre-back. Young defender Jarrel Quansah is on his way to Bayer Leverkusen, meaning Arne Slot could be left short of options at the back.
Ibrahima Konate is also out of contract next summer, and with no agreement in place over a new deal, there's a chance he departs in 2026, or in the coming months if the Reds want to guarantee they get a fee for him. Joe Gomez is another backup option for Slot, but considering his lack of minutes over the last few years, it wouldn't be a surprise if he wanted to depart in search of regular first team football.
