Crystal Palace have been urged to sell Newcastle United transfer target Marc Guehi this summer, after turning down the Magpies' advances last year.
Eddie Howe's side remain interested in a deal for the England defender, but have seen Liverpool emerge as the favourite to land the 24-year-old.
Newcastle spent much of last summer trying to negotiate a deal for Guehi, but Palace held out for their asking price and he stayed at Selhurst Park for another year.
However, he is out of contract in 2026, with the Eagles likely to cash in in the coming weeks rather than lose him for nothing in 12 months.
There is talk that they are keen to insist on another big pricetag for their star defender, which has so far meant no firm bids for Guehi, despite strong interest.
Now former Palace chairman Simon Jordan has urged the Eagles to take this chance to sell, with plenty of time left in the window to reinvest.
They have been linked with a miove for another Newcastle transfer target, Sporting's Ousmane Diomande, but Jordan warns they are 'against the clock'.

“Sell him, unless you’re going to tie him down - and you’re not going to tie him down, are you?” Jordan told talkSPORT.
“They took the roll of the dice last year, they didn’t take Newcastle’s money in so far as Newcastle really offered it and it was on the nail and all that sort of stuff.
“Now they’re against the clock. So what do you get? You get nothing? And then you’ve got to go and buy a new centre-back! So you might as well sell him.”
Palace could also see Eberechi Eze leave this summer, with new Tottenham manager Thomas Frank reportedly keen on a move for the England forward.
