Vitor Pereira appears to have been dealt a transfer blow over one target, after he signed a new contract today.
There is clamour at the moment for Wolves to get busy in the transfer window, with a number of players having already left the club.
With a new financial year beginning in July, Wolves are set to become busier in the transfer window, and hopefully more new faces will follow Fer Lopez to Molineux.
Fosun acknowledge the need for a rebuild at Wolves, and it is paramount that the club have a strong summer to avoid regression after the loss of key players.
In recent days and weeks, there have been links to new centre-backs.
It is not a priority position at the moment, but there is potential for Wolves to add one if one of Santiago Bueno or Nasser Djiga (loan) leaves.
But one player who will not be coming to Molineux this summer is Dara O’Shea.

A few weeks ago, it was claimed that Wolves were eyeing a move for Dara O’Shea.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
O’Shea just suffered relegation with Ipswich Town – his third in five seasons after previous spells with Burnley and West Bromwich Albion – and there had been talk of the Tractor Boys potentially having difficulty keeping him.
Wolves were said to be eyeing a move, along with Leeds United and his former club Burnley.
But O’Shea, who cost Ipswich £15m all in, won’t be moving anywhere this summer, after he signed a new contract today.
He said: “I’m really happy and very proud to have signed a new contract at Ipswich Town.
“We learned a lot last season and that will be really important for us going forward. I’m glad to have signed this new contract and I am ready to get to work again in pre-season.
“There are good characters and good human beings at this club and I want to help deliver success again and help the club get back into the Premier League. This is a massive club but it can continue to grow and I’m excited.”
O’Shea could be one for the future for Wolves
So Wolves won’t be able to land O’Shea this summer.
But potentially he is a player we may well see at Molineux later down the line, as he is only 26. And Wolves have long held an interest in O’Shea, so they may look to swoop in the future.
We’ve seen it before with Wolves how they will eventually bring people to the club, years after first showing interest – Mario Lemina being a good example.

Julen Lopetegui was also someone Wolves looked at in 2016. The Spaniard would then pitch up at Molineux in November 2022.
Wolves have been linked with the likes of Jhon Lucumi and Christopher Wooh, and there are surely plenty of alternatives out there to O’Shea if Wolves did want to land a new centre-back this summer.
