Leeds United look set to stand clear of new sister club Rangers after Simon Jordan’s reaction.
The Whites have been under the ownership of 49ers Enterprises since July 2023 have have overseen a number of positive and negative moments.
This season passed has certainly been one of the best moments under their watch, especially after the disappointment of the play-off final last campaign.
With that being said, fans won’t be desperate for change any time soon, but that could come in the shape of Rangers after the US consortium’s takeover.

The Gers have slumped behind Old Firm rivals Celtic for many years, last winning the Scottish Premiership under Steven Gerrard in 2021.

That sums up exactly why they were in need of investment, with Paraag Marathe and Co. taking up the opportunity to land a 51 per cent share at Ibrox.

There has been fears from both sets of fans that the other could become the priority moving into the new campaign.
With the Whites in the Premier League and keen on maintaining their place in the division, the Scottish side can see Leeds taking precedence over their interest.
This has been somewhat echoed by Jordan, who told talkSPORT (24 June, 11:15am) of how finances could play a part in terms of this multi-club model.
He said: “Is it a legitimate concern to say, of the two, the bigger economically is Leeds United, not because it’s a bigger club than Rangers, but because it’s in a bigger league, and the revenues that Leeds United will generate if they stay in the Premier League will dwarf that of Rangers.
“So, there’s not an unreasonable thought process to say that if you find some talent at Rangers, it will find its way somewhere down the line to Leeds United if their opportunity was in the Premier League and to push and kick on to be a top six side.”
Rangers could become Leeds United feeder club
If Daniel Farke is to keep his side in the Premier League this season, there is no doubt that he will want to build on that success next time around.
This could see the loan market be utilised to allow young and fringe players to get minutes elsewhere to help build them up.
As a result, a relationship with a top side in another league like Rangers could prove to be beneficial for all parties moving further.
This may seem frustrating initially, but the benefits of a sister club model with Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh at Ibrox could be useful.
