Aside targeting and recruiting the best players so far, Leeds United have done one key thing this summer. And it is clearly evident with the latest arrivals.
Lukas Nmecha was Leeds’ first summer signing, joining on a free transfer from Wolfsburg. The club then followed it up with the addition of Jaka Bijol from Udinese on a reported £15million deal. One of the key things when both players were signed was how they spoke on their desire to join the club.

Bijol said signing for the Whites was a big personal step for him:
“I work for it and that’s why I’m here, because it’s a big challenge for everyone. It’s a big challenge for me, for the club, and we’re getting ready for it together. I think the club and myself are ready for the Premier League.
“I can promise that I will give everything, that I will give everything in every training as well to be ready for the first game of the season and then just go from there.”

Nmecha also spoke about how his conversations with Daniel Farke convinced him to join the club. Leeds are making sure that their targets are 100% convinced before making a move.
This is a similar case with Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Whites have reached a £19.6million agreement with the Italian club. But now, convincing the player to agree to personal terms remains. Leeds are reportedly preparing a good wage package, while holding talks with Krstovic’s representatives to convince him to move.
The 25-year old wants to stay in Italy, but could be swayed by a move to Elland Road.
Leeds need a real goalscorer
Joel Piroe finished as the top scorer last season, but will need to step his game up in the Premier League. So far in his Leeds career, he has lacked that clinical and ruthless edge despite being proficient in front of goal. Krstovic showed the world this season that he is the real deal.

The striker is aggressive, ruthless and is not afraid to shoot. His 137 shots was the most out of any striker in the league. It only shows how he fights to score. Outside the goals, Krstovic is also sometimes able to bring the ball up the pitch on his own with his hold up play. Leeds could be signing the real deal this summer.
