Allen spoke with Sports Illustrated writer Liam McKeone about his 2024 NFL season. He made an interesting statement about winning his first MVP Award. The Bills star quarterback said,

“You know, it is such a great honor, and I do appreciate being honored for my work. But at the same time, I still didn’t win a Super Bowl. Didn’t win a ring, and that is the only goal. It’s the only focus that I’ve ever had going into this league.”

However, despite all of that, Allen mentions that winning the MVP award is a good thing because it means that Buffalo is in a position to get to the Super Bowl. The Bills won the AFC East division once again with a 13-4 record during the 2024 NFL season. Allen also said,

“The one positive, I will say, about winning an MVP means that your team is in a good position. You’re making the playoffs, you’re playing well and you’re doing whatever you can to help your team win football games. But at the end of the day, you got to make the playoffs and then you got to win three, maybe four games. And that’s what we need to do. And we’re going to continue to work as hard as we can and myself included. What can we do to find a way over that hump? So that’s the only goal going forward.”

Allen during the 2024 NFL season with Buffalo completed 63.6% of his passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 531 yards on 102 carries and 12 touchdowns, along with averaging 5.2 yards per carry. There is a chance that he could be the front runner for the MVP award in 2025 as well. What is important for him and this fanbase is for Allen and the rest of the team to deliver a Super Bowl title to Western New York.
