Chelsea could offer £30m player in swap deal for striker

Chelsea have already signed one striker this summer, bringing in Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. Yet, it feels like the Blues could do with another option in that area of the pitch. Nicolas Jackson has continued to underwhelm and following another straight red card, there are question marks about his place in the team and at the club.

Teams like Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli have been linked with a move for Jackson. On the other hand, reports have suggested that [Chelsea](https://theprideoflondon.com/manchester-united-open-talks-sign-chelsea-player) will want a fee north of £47 million to part ways with him this summer, a steep figure for most teams to even consider.

On the other hand, Chelsea have been linked with quite a few strikers in recent weeks. One of them is Joao Pedro of Brighton & Hove Albion. The 23-year-old Brazilian international has scored 30 times in 70 appearances for the Seagulls.

Brighton & Hove Albion have already been involved in several big-money deals with Chelsea. This time around, the Blues might try to bring the figure down by offering a player in return.

The player in question is someone who has struggled to find his feet at Stamford Bridge since his move last summer from Leicester City. As reported by [The Chelsea Chronicle](https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/transfer-news/strong-chance-chelsea-now-offer-30m-man-in-swap-deal-for-joao-pedro/), Simon Phillips has shared on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that there is a “strong chance” that the Blues offer Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Brighton & Hove Albion in a proposed swap deal for Pedro.

Dewsbury-Hall found a ton of success at Leicester City working under the management of Enzo Maresca. But chances have been much harder to come by at Chelsea with the step up in competition.

Things are only expected to get tougher for Dewsbury-Hall. Chelsea have added to their midfield this summer, bringing in Dario Essugo. Andrey Santos has returned after a phenomenal loan spell.
