Details Emerge About Suns’ Plans In NBA Draft

The Phoenix Suns just completed their blockbuster trade of Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, but the offseason has just begun.

That means the Suns have more plans for the weeks ahead, including in the upcoming NBA draft.

According to John Gambadoro, via Evan Sidery, the Suns are looking to target a starting power forward and center in the draft.

“After acquiring the No. 10 overall pick in the Kevin Durant trade, Collin Murray-Boyles could be a prime target who fills their current void,” Sidery wrote.

The Suns are attempting to get the most out of the 10th overall pick that they picked up in the Durant trade, and they think Murray-Boyles is the way to go.

During his time with South Carolina, Murray-Boyles showed that he can produce a lot in the frontcourt, which is exactly what the Suns need.

He averaged 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists last season in college.

The Suns believe that he could fit perfectly alongside Devin Booker in the backcourt, creating space and making shots of his own.

Of course, this might not be the only move the Suns make.

They are still trying to unload Bradley Beal’s salary, and there have been rumors about other players, such as Tyus Jones and Royce O’Neale.

When they sent away Durant, the Suns knew that there would be more moves to make.

This week, it’s the draft, but they have multiple tasks on their to-do list.

Suns fans should strap in, because this could be a wild and consequential summer for the team.
