PELICANS HEADLINES

McCollum, 32, joined the Pelicans in 2022 in a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers. He quickly became a core piece alongside Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson but has struggled with injuries and consistency in recent seasons.

Olynyk, a veteran big man, was acquired in February in a trade for Brandon Ingram.

In return, the Pelicans receive Jordan Poole, a high-scoring but streaky guard who won a championship with the Golden State Warriors before being traded to Washington. Saddiq Bey, formerly of the Atlanta Hawks, adds size and shooting depth. The No. 40 pick gives New Orleans another shot at young talent in the 2025 draft.

The Pelicans also hold the No. 7 and No. 23 picks.
