Manchester United have an important summer ahead of them on the recruitment front

They were able to reach the Europa League final. However, they were beaten in Bilbao by league rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Amorim will be under pressure to start the next campaign with some positive results. In the meantime, we have asked AI to predict their transfer business...

Manchester United predicted to boost squad with new faces

United have been predicted by AI to snap up Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace for £50million. With Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof leaving, they could do with some defensive reinforcements. Guehi is a key player for the Eagles but his contract is up next year.

Therefore, the South London club may well have to sell him soon. They risk losing him for nothing in June 2026 if they don’t cash in on him now or in January. He helped Oliver Glasner’s men win the FA Cup last month after they beat Manchester City in the final at Wembley, with Eberechi Eze getting their winner in the first-half.

Getting Guehi would be a statement of intent and he is likely to be a man in-demand. It would be a massive blow for Crystal Palace to lose him, especially to a team in the same league. They would need to find a replacement which would be a very tall order.

The Red Devils have been backed to win the race for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo for a fee of around £60million by AI. Tottenham Hotspur are known to be keen on landing him as well in real life. They have recently turned to Thomas Frank as their replacement for Ange Postecoglou and he knows the player well from their time with the Bees together.

It seems inevitable that he will be leaving the Brentford Community Stadium in the near future. He would be ideal for Amorim if he was able to lure him to Old Trafford. The Cameroon international would give him another option to pick from in attack. AI have also tipped United to land Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer. His deal at Everton runs out in a matter of weeks and it is yet to be known whether he will be sticking around with the Toffees. He could be a smart addition and would add back-up up top which would come in handy.

Who could leave Manchester United this summer?

Marcus Rashford has fallen out of favour at United over recent times and AI reckons he will move on for good. He was given the green light to leave on loan when Aston Villa came calling in the last January window. The England international scored four times during his time at Villa Park.

The 27-year-old remains under contract with his parent club but most signs point towards an exit. He has been with the Red Devils for his whole career to date. The attacker joined them as a child and has since risen into their first-team up through the academy. Antony is another who AI predicts will move on for a change of scene. Similarly to Rashford, he left on loan this past winter to join Real Betis. His days in Spain have put him in the shop window although it remains unknown where he could end up going next.

It is safe to say that his transfer to United hasn’t gone to plan. He joined them from Ajax but he hasn’t been able to make the impact he would have wanted to in England, hence why he was shipped out to La Liga earlier this year. The Brazil international was very much an Erik ten Hag signing and doesn’t really suit Amorim’s style of play.

Getting Jadon Sancho off the books is a must for the Red Devils following the end of his temporary stint at Chelsea. The former Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund is in limbo now and AI says he will head out the exit door soon. He spent last term at Stamford Bridge but Enzo Maresca has opted not to exercise their option to purchase him which has made him available for other teams.
