Jason Licht: Bucs May Have NFL’s Best Offensive Line

Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht played in the trenches during his college days and has proven himself in the NFL as an offensive line whisperer.

Look at what Licht has built. The old man of the Bucs’ starting offensive line is Ben Bredeson, who turned 27 in February. It’s a young unit with beastly drafted tackles Luke Goedeke and Tristan Wirfs, the first man to ever be All-Pro at right and left tackle.

Graham Barton has a high ceiling as a 2024 first-round pick of a center, and Cody Mauch is a legit and durable talent at right guard.

Licht is living the dream — his dream, so he told _[Sports Day Tampa Bay](https://open.spotify.com/show/3qrJxTCppsG4TECWKXaqIk)_.

Obviously not wanting to scream “cash money” and act like Anthony Edwards draining a big 3-pointer for the Timberwolves, Licht very gently hinted it’s just fine to say the Bucs are the best offensive line in the NFL.

“It was my dream to one day have five solid starters like we have right now that arguably could potentially be the top unit in the NFL. It’s not crazy to say. They’re right up there,” Licht said.

Licht went on to express his belief that the O-line is the most important unit on a team.

Joe reads this and thinks of how loaded the Bucs roster is — and how loaded the power brokers at One Buc Palace believe it is.

Very high bar for Todd Bowles.
