Anthony Richardson Offers Significant News On Shoulder Injury

The Indianapolis Colts publicly committed to a quarterback battle this summer following the conclusion of their disappointing 2024 season.

Their young leader Anthony Richardson had scuffled with some injury issues and inconsistent play on the field which prompted the team to bring in some competition.

They brought in former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones in hopes that he would either run away with the job or sharpen iron and help Richardson improve.

Unfortunately, the former Florida star got injured just a couple days into mandatory minicamp earlier this month which will inevitably affect his chances of keeping his starting job.

The Colts have been transparent with the fact that each man will have an equal opportunity to win the job, so if they were on an even playing field, Jones is much further ahead by now.

Luckily for Richardson, there appears to have been a positive development in his recovery process.

Zach Goodall of 247 Sports got a chance to interview the young quarterback at a community event where Richardson expressed that his injury is all cleared up.

According to him, he will be ready to participate in the Colts’ training camp next month and compete for the starting job.

This is the best case scenario for his career as he will now have an entire month and three preseason games to prove that he has adequately improved.

If he doesn’t win the job, then it very well may be the last season he spends as an Indianapolis Colt.
