Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Exciting Business Move Turns Heads on Tuesday

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is gearing up for his 13th NFL season, while star quarterback Patrick Mahomes enters his eighth since being selected 10th overall in the 2017 draft.

The duo has built historic on-field chemistry, leading the Chiefs to three Super Bowl titles, and has developed a close bond off the field as well. They consistently support one another at charity events, sporting appearances, and public engagements.

Now, the two are teaming up on a major off-field venture: the launch of their new steakhouse, "1587 Prime"—named after their jersey numbers.

The high-end restaurant is set to open this summer and will be located at 1500 Baltimore Avenue inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel. Spanning two floors and 10,000 square feet, it promises to be a premier dining destination.

On Tuesday, a sneak peek at the nearly completed space was unveiled on social media, immediately generating buzz among NFL fans and Kansas City locals alike.

Back in April 2024, Travis Kelce opened up about the new business venture on the "New Heights" podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.

"No, honestly, it's always been pretty cool to see the support that we get out in Kansas City, so we wanted to make sure that we showed love back," Travis said. "Doing things in the community is something we're heavily, heavily involved in. We wanted to make a restaurant."

The brothers also shared a lighthearted moment, joking about Patrick Mahomes’ well-known habit of dipping steak in ketchup—a move that’s widely considered controversial among steak purists.

"Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's just what he does, it's what he's been doing... he's reeled back a lot on it, from what I remember," Travis added with a laugh.
