When it comes to any ranking of the NFL’s best players, the Kansas City Chiefs are always going to be well-represented. That’s the case once again in [CBS Sports’ latest Top 100 NFL Players of 2025](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/priscos-nfl-top-100-players-of-2025-saquon-barkley-cracks-top-5-five-other-rbs-make-top-50-4-qbs-in-top-10/), as set forth by analyst Pete Prisco.
The Chiefs placed six players on this year’s list, which is a testament to the team’s ability to draft and develop players on both sides of the ball. The Chiefs are anchored up top by household names, but they also lean on ascending young stars, and both are found on Prisco's list.
Beyond the six players who landed on this year's top 100, it's notable that the Chiefs could have easily boasted seven, since Joe Thuney also comes in on this list at No. 55 overall. [Now the Chicago Bears can claim him instead.](https://arrowheadaddict.com/the-joe-thuney-trade-was-great-long-term-business-decision-by-brett-veach-for-chiefs-01jnpsy6ej6h)
Here’s a look at every Chiefs player who made Prisco’s Top 100 along with where they ranked and what it says about their value.
**Patrick Mahomes (**No. **1 overall)**
---------------------------------------
After coming in at No. 1 last season, Prisco has Mahomes as the best player in the entire NFL. Even in a “down year” by his standards, there's no denying that he's a legend in his prime who just happened to carry an injury-depleted offense to a third consecutive Super Bowl. He’s the engine of the Chiefs' dynasty and remains the league's star attraction.
**Creed Humphrey (**No. **16)**
-------------------------------
Humphrey made a big jump from No. 48 last year, and he's cemented himself as the NFL's best center at this point without argument. At this point, Humphrey is on a clear path to Canton if he can stay healthy, and it doesn't hurt that he's snapping the ball to the top-ranked player on the list.
**Chris Jones (**No. **18)**
----------------------------
Speaking of players with a chance for a HOF induction ceremony in their futures, Chris Jones is definitely on that short list of dominant players for whom such a case could be made. Jones remains the most disruptive interior force in the league, and teams try everything they can to double-team him (or worse) only to see him still alter and even wreck game plans.
**Trent McDuffie (No. 46)**
---------------------------
One of the game’s brightest young defenders, McDuffie has quickly become a cornerstone in the Chiefs' secondary. His instincts are unparalleled and he's proven to be incredibly effective both outside and in the slot at the NFL's most mercurial position.
**Trey Smith (**No. **75)**
---------------------------
It speaks volumes that the Chiefs were willing to reconfigure their offseason plans to retain Smith this offseason when a bit more money was made available via the salary cap update. Joe Thuney was sent packing, and Smith will eventually find himself on the signing end of a lucrative new deal. He's one of the league's most ferocious guards, and he's likely going to find his way to a few more Pro Bowls before all is said and done.
**Travis Kelce (**No. **96)**
-----------------------------
It's a steep drop for Travis Kelce from No. 18 overall to No. 96, but Father Time comes for everyone and last season showcased a clear drop in effectiveness for the Chiefs' star tight end. That said, it speaks to the respect that Kelce demands (and the incredible talent at his disposal) that he still found his way onto this list. Hearing how motivated he is for an effective 2025, we'd bet on Kelce to climb a bit higher next year (if he chooses to return).
