Report: Celtics trade Kristaps Porzingis to Atlanta Hawks

BOSTON (WHDH) - According to reports, the Boston Celtics have traded center Kristaps Porzingis to the Atlanta Hawks as part of a three-team trade also involving the Brooklyn Nets.

In return, the Celtics are reportedly receiving forward Georges Niang and a second round pick.

Porzingis averaged 19.5 points per game, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 42 games last season for Boston.

The Celtics continue making moves this offseason, following the trade of [Jrue Holiday](https://whdh.com/sports/jrue-holiday-being-traded-from-celtics-to-trail-blazers-ap-source-says/) late on Monday, as they look to cut spending.
