Joleon Lescott and Shaun Wright-Phillips visited Georgia aquarium to learn more about the facility’s collaboration with Xylem and their marine conservation efforts.
The pair made the trip during City’s time in Atlanta, ahead of our second FIFA Club World Cup Group G fixture against Al Ain.
Georgia aquarium, the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere, is a global leader in marine conversation, research and animal care, recycling 99% of its 12,000,000 gallons of exhibit water daily.
In partnership with Xylem, the aquarium uses advanced filtration technologies to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and set a new standard for water reuse.

Lescott and Wright-Phillips learnt more about that collaboration on a private tour of the facility, before trying an interactive water quality game, installed at the aquarium in 2023.
The challenge lets visitors repair a virtual exhibit by building a proper filtration system, protecting whale sharks, manta rays and other marine life in the process.
