All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they continue their bid to improve their squad.

Arsenal are still working on the first of their summer signings as they look to kick-start a busy summer of recruitment and transfer dealings. The Gunners need to make signings aplenty while also offloading any unwanted stars ahead of the new season.

Mikel Arteta will go into the new season with some added pressure having failed to deliver silverware last season, but he should get a stronger squad to work with. As Andrea Berta looks to deliver that squad, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Rodrygo claim

Arsenal have been linked with wingers aplenty this summer, and one of their reported options is Real Madrid star Rodrygo. Fabrizio Romano has now made a fresh claim over the Gunners’ interest in the Brazilian.

“Arsenal love Rodrygo. When I say Arsenal, it’s about the management, it’s about the coach, it’s about Mikel Arteta,” Romano said on his YouTube channel. “They consider Rodrygo as a fantastic player, a dream target as a winger, also because they feel Nico Williams is impossible to reach this summer. Rodrygo, he remains a strong name, for sure, in the list at Arsenal.”

Gyokeres ‘latest’

Arsenal are said to be ready to begin formally chasing Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres with an opening bid. The Gunners need a new striker this summer, and it looks as though it will be between Gyokeres and RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, and neither will come cheap. Both will command huge fees and big wages this summer, particularly with the lack of top-level options available.

According to JustArsenal, the Gunners are now ready to bid between €75 to €80 million for Gyokeres, which is significantly short of the player’s €100million release clause. Sporting know they likely won’t get the full value of the striker’s release clause this summer, but they have been holding firm in negotiations.

The claim comes amid a report from Daily Mail, claiming that Gyokeres is willing to be patient and wait for a move to Arsenal, showing a clear interest in joining the Gunners over any of the other clubs linked with him this summer.

Delap concern

Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott says he is worried about Chelsea’s signing of Liam Delap this supper. The former Ipswich Town frontman joined Chelsea on a £30million and is already showing flashes of promising form during their Club World Cup campaign in the United States this summer.

"Delap going to Chelsea worries me as an Arsenal fan," Walcott told The Athletic. "I know they have been going for that No.9, that Didier Drogba type, it's that curse of the No.9. Delap can break that curse because he's a really good striker. He's the next one after Harry Kane for England. [It] disappoints me as an Arsenal fan if you don't go after someone like that. You can see it in him as well, you can see his fight. He doesn't care who he plays against."
