We should probably say re-hired. Forcier was on the Utah Jazz coaching staff before with Will Hardy before recently leaving to join the Phoenix Suns. He returns to a Jazz team that is in much the same position as when he left, figuring out their rebuild. Hopefully he can be an addition that helps this Jazz team as they move forward.
As of writing this article, the Utah Jazz have two first-round picks in this draft as well as two second-round picks. They need all the coaching they can get to develop their young talent and prepare them for eventual contention. In a way, this is a great time to join the Jazz, who have the #5 pick and will get even younger next year. Utah has not had one of its draft picks consistently pop as a future star. Perhaps Chad Forcier and the updated coaching staff is what will change things for them.
