Tyre Kicking Toon Eye Kudus After Elanga Snub

Magpies the latest club linked to West Ham’s star man as summer saga drags on

Newcastle United have reportedly turned their attention to West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus after seeing a bid knocked back for Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga. That’s according to Sky Sports News, who also claim PSV’s Johan Bakayoko and Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi are on the shortlist alongside the Ghanaian.

Links between the Magpies and Kudus are nothing new, of course. At this point, there seems to be a daily cycle of the Ghanaian being linked with Newcastle, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, or Manchester United.

Realistically, all five clubs are in with a shout of signing him—although it’s still hard to picture a scenario where he moves to Spurs from the London Stadium.

Eddie Howe is reportedly keen to add another wide-man to the St James’ Park ranks, and Kudus certainly fits the bill.

West Ham will want at least £65 million for the 24-year-old, and the reality is he’ll probably go to whichever club stumps up the funds first.

Unfortunately, all the Irons seem to be attracting so far are tyre-kickers. It’s still unclear whether any of the interested parties are truly serious about making a proper offer.
