Chelsea booked their place in the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup with a comfortable victory over ES Tunis in their final group stage game.
The Blues were forced to work hard for the breakthrough and didn’t find the net until added time of the first half, where Tosin Adarabioyo converted from an Enzo Fernandez free-kick.
This was quickly followed by Liam Delap’s brilliantly-taken first goal in a Chelsea shirt, giving them breathing space before the break.
Tyrique George added a third just before the full-time whistle, as Enzo Maresca’s mass rotation did not cost the Blues in their crucial final game.
The manager was having to deal with a ‘Heat Health Emergency’ in host city Philadelphia, and made the decision to not feature the likes of Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo.

Chelsea’s prize money could go towards big new signing
Maresca has claimed Chelsea will sign a new winger this summer, no doubt due to the return of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United after his loan move.
Jamie Gittens was widely expected to join the club before the Club World Cup got underway, however the deal was not completed before the first transfer deadline.
The Blues are closing in on signing Gittens before the new Premier League season commences, and he could be in the squad before their opening game against Crystal Palace.
With Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall one of those who started on the wings in their last game, there is certainly room for a new figure in these positions, and Maresca will be hoping the former Manchester City academy star can hit the ground running in a similar way to Delap.
