Manchester United are making headway in their bid to shift Jadon Sancho, with Fenerbahce reportedly shaking hands on personal terms with the winger. Sancho finds himself on the chopping block at United after Chelsea passed up the chance to snap him up permanently following a season-long loan.

Chelsea opted to cough up a £5million fee to United rather than fork out £25m for Sancho, dealing a hefty blow to Ruben Amorim's squad. With no place in Amorim's plans and his whopping £300,000-a-week salary weighing heavy on the club's purse strings, Sancho's days at Old Trafford seem numbered.

United are keen to offload surplus players in the summer transfer window to bankroll a revamp, but Chelsea's snub had them back at square one. Luckily, it seems they've now found a taker.

Fenerbahce are on the hunt for a left winger after Allan Saint-Maximin's loan stint wrapped up. Jose Mourinho has given the thumbs up for a swoop for Sancho and Turkish news outlet Sabah reports a significant leap forward in talks.

According to the report, the 25 year old has agreed to an annual €10m (£8.5m) deal in a bid to lure him away from Europe's elite leagues. Now that they've struck a deal with Sancho, Fenerbahce are gearing up to table their offer to United, reports the Mirror.

Fanatik reports that United are prepared to let Sancho go for a mere €20m (£17m) as he's down to his last year on contract. Napoli had their eyes on Sancho too, but only if he'd be willing to take a pay cut.

It appears, then, that Fenerbahce are in pole position to snap up the winger, who netted five goals and provided 10 assists in 42 matches across all competitions for Chelsea last season.

However, there's another name in the mix - Galeno. The 27 year old Brazilian made a €50m move from Porto to Al-Ahli in January but hasn't found his feet in Saudi Arabia and is looking for an exit this summer. He's scored seven goals and set up five in 18 games for Al-Ahli and could be available for loan.

Sancho tops the list of players United are keen to offload this summer, along with Marcus Rashford, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho. It's no surprise, given Sancho's disappointing stint since his £73m transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

With just 12 goals and six assists in 83 appearances over four years for United, he's fallen far short of the promise he showed at Dortmund, where he racked up a remarkable 40 goals and 47 assists in 118 games.
