Habib Diarra to Leeds United transfer update as fresh exit 'stance' emerges

Leeds United have enough scope for an exciting couple of months ahead as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.

Daniel Farke and key figures behind-the-scenes will be busy looking ahead to the new Premier League campaign following their promotion to the Championship.

A host of players have already been linked with moves to Elland Road this summer, and it's likely that the gossip will ramp up as the September 1 deadlines moves even closer.

Leeds will begin their Premier League campaign at home to Everton on August 18 - while the Whites will hope to have some new signings added to their squad for their top-flight opener.

Here, Leeds Live takes a look at some of the latest United transfer news and gossip that has dominated headlines over the last 24 hours or so;

La Liga transfer competition

Leeds will reportedly face extra competition for the signing of Strasbourg star Habib Diarra.

RMC Sport have claimed that Atletico Madrid have now joined the race to sign Diarra this summer.

It's been reported that the La Liga outfit have been monitoring the midfielder over the last few weeks, and have also approached both Strasbourg and Diarra's agents over a potential deal.

Rodrigo Muniz stance emerges

Leeds have learned a fresh stance regarding the future of Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

Football Insider have reported that Muniz is currently 'happy' at Craven Cottage - despite rumours of a potential move to Elland Road.

The report claims that Leeds still have an interest in signing Muniz, with Fulham hoping to keep the striker at the club beyond this summer.
