Everton are keen to sign Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanović this summer, Goodison News understands.

David Moyes is desperate to add forwards to his squad, especially with Dominic Calvert-Lewin set to leave the Merseyside club.

Without Calvert-Lewin, Moyes is left with just Beto as a recognised striker, in addition to a depleted team, which currently could have just 16 registered players at the end of this month.

The Toffees have been linked to Villareal striker Thierno Barry since the end of last season, but the mooted transfer is taking more time to complete than initially hoped.

It has led Everton to chase Al-Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrović [Gazetta Dello Sport], and they are now targeting his compatriot to bring over to Merseyside.

Premier League clubs vying for Ivanović’s signature

Goodison News understands that Ivanović is not only a target for Everton but has also generated interest from multiple Premier League clubs.

The striker joined Millwall last summer for a reported £2.8million, and made an instant impact for the Lions, picking up both Millwall’s Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards.

Ivanović’s statistics for Millwall (2024/25)

He comfortably topped the Lions’ goalscoring charts and was crucial in almost guiding his side to the Championship playoff places.

The Serbian’s physicality saw him quickly adapt to English football, and his performances have also recently earned him his first senior cap.

A recruitment source with close links to Everton and Millwall revealed to Goodison News that he was shocked to see the 20-year-old join the Championship club, given his potential.

Ivanović a worthwhile risk for Everton

Ivanović has shown that he can quickly adapt to different environments, but the Premier League is a completely different beast, and would certainly test the young forward.

However, his eye for a goal and athleticism should translate well, while Moyes has an excellent track record in developing young players, especially strikers who fit his mould.

While his success at the Hill Dickinson Stadium is not guaranteed, Ivanović’s transfer is unlikely to break the bank and could be a risk worth taking, especially given Everton’s lack of youngsters coming through.
