Marcus Rashford has been shown by a former Manchester United teammate how to truly make yourself valuable in the transfer market.
Since Marcus Rashford was frozen out by Ruben Amorim late last year, it felt inevitable that his time as a Manchester United player was over.
Amorim slammed Rashford’s workrate in training before he was loaned out to Aston Villa in January. With Villa declining to trigger the £40 million buy option this summer, his career is once again at a crossroads.
With just days to go until players are set to return to Carrington, Rashford is failing to force a Barcelona move, with the Spanish side reluctant to match United’s £40m asking price.
While Rashford is struggling to attract any interest, one of his former United teammates has become hot property for getting his head down and working hard.

Anthony Elanga now worth £20m more than Marcus Rashford
Before his January exit, there were serious concerns about Rashford’s attitude from staff around Carrington, and Amorim rightly stuck by his decision to leave him out the squad.
Now, the 27-year-old has resorted to desperately trying to catch Barcelona’s attention. Former teammate Anthony Elanga has truly shown how to actually drum up interest.
Elanga is now valued at £60m by Nottingham Forest just two years after he was sold by United for £15m.

The 23-year-old has become a key player in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, scoring six goals and registering 12 assists as Forest finished seventh in the Premier League table.
As a result of his form, Elanga has attracted interest from Newcastle United, who have already submitted one bid worth £45m for his signature.
United legend Rio Ferdinand praised Elanga for having a “wonderful attitude” and working hard to kick on after leaving Old Trafford. Rashford could learn a thing or two.
Marcus Rashford hindered Anthony Elanga’s progress at Man United
Ironically, one of the reasons Elanga was sold by United was because he was struggling to work his way into the starting lineup on a regular basis.
The reason? He was behind Rashford in the pecking order.
United staff had concerns about Elanga and his ability to break down defences, but he is proving his former side wrong by thriving at Forest.

Elanga showed huge signs of promise during his 55 senior appearances at United, but he was sold for profit before really being given a chance to impress.
Despite Amorim claiming Elanga had his chance at United, there must be some regret at the sale of the Swedish star having seen what has happened to the likes of Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony.
