Player’s links with Leeds United trashed by press – Set for eighth season at club

Over the past few days, Leeds United have been linked with a move for Atalanta midfielder Mario Pasalic in the English media.

The Croatian is a long-serving member of the Bergamo club and has come up with multiple important goals in the last few seasons. He’s played 298 times in all competitions for the Atalanta, scoring 59 times.

Pasalic’s current contract at Atalanta expires at the end of June and that reportedly made him an interesting opportunity for Leeds United.

Interest from the Whites has now been completely discarded by the Italian press. Tuttomercatoweb report the 30-year-old has no chance of leaving Atalanta because his new contract has already been defined.

He will sign a three-year contract and every minor detail has been sorted out, with only the official announcement missing. As a result, Pasalic will stay at Atalanta for his eighth season in a row, even if Gian Piero Gasperini has departed for AS Roma.

The Leeds United claims have quickly been rubbished.
