If Turkish football isn’t non-stop drama then it’s nothing at all, and Brighton find themselves in the latest building soap opera.
Last summer, the Seagulls sealed a deal to take Ferdi Kadıoğlu from Fenerbahçe. It was seen as clever move from Brighton, after the fullback had consistently impressed for both his club and the Turkey national side.
Unfortunately, the 25-year-old picked up a toe injury in November, and that was that for his season with the Premier League club. There was a lot of disappointment for both Brighton and the player after big things had been expected.
Ferdi Kadıoğlu now needs to play himself back into top form, and the Turkish media are starting to report, and likely campaign, that he could do so in the Super Lig as opposed to Premier League.
Wednesday’s edition of [Hurriyet](https://www.hurriyet.com.tr/) reports the player could return to Fenerbahçe in what they say would be a surprise move. Jose Mourinho’s side are said to have already made contact with Brighton to ask about loan conditions.
Brighton are then said to have told Fenerbahçe that Galatasaray are also interested, which has obviously upped the drama score on this one.
