Everton said to have already made 2 offers for U1 rising star – 3 other PL clubs keen

Everton are one of the sides who may be in the race for German U21 star Merlin Röhl, having already made two offers for him in the January transfer window. Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are also in the picture.

That’s [according to Sport BILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/), who report that Everton are one of the sides keeping an eye on the midfielder this summer.

Röhl is currently part of the German U21 squad which has made it to the semi-finals of the U21 European Championship this summer. That’s causing plenty of excitement as it’s the first side to do so since it included the likes of Florian Wirtz.

Big things are expected of the squad moving forwards and Röhl is one of the ones who is causing excitement. The 22-year-old Freiburg midfielder recently scored in the 117th minute in to make it 3-2 against Italy and get his side to the semi-finals for the first time in four years.

It was a moment which further confirmed his talent, and the Premier League is already watching. Everton, for instance, already made two offers in the January transfer window and could return again.

They have their eye on him but so do Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United. A move is not out of the question, especially as Freiburg have added in his position this summer.

The German side want ‘significantly more’ than the €12m valuation currently placed on the youngster’s head and it remains to be seen if anyone, including Everton, can offer enough to tempt them.
