The Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly offered Rudy Gobert, Donte DiVincenzo, either Rob Dillingham or Terrence Shannon Jr., and the No. 17 pick in the upcoming draft to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Kevin Durant.
The Phoenix Suns made a blockbuster trade, sending their superstar Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and five second-round picks.

Several other teams were also actively pursuing Durant, including the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat, both of whom made attempts to land the all-time great scorer.
Now that Durant has officially been traded, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports revealed what one of the most heavily linked teams, the Timberwolves, had offered the Suns.
Speaking on The Kevin O'Connor Show, Gambadoro reported that the Timberwolves were prepared to send out Rudy Gobert, Donte DiVincenzo, either Rob Dillingham or Terrence Shannon Jr., and the No. 17 pick in the upcoming draft in exchange for Durant.
One of the main reasons the deal didn’t happen was Durant’s unwillingness to play in Minnesota. As previously reported, Durant had rejected any discussions about being traded to the Timberwolves.
