Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fábio Silva has turned down a move to VfL Wolfsburg, as he wants to play European football next season.
That’s [according to Sport BILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/), who report that the 22-year-old has already turned down the German side’s approach.
Silva is returning to Wolves at the end of the month following a successful loan spell at Las Palmas, where he managed 10 goals and three assists in 24 games in La Liga this season.
He wants to leave Wolves permanently after spending the last few years of his career on a European road trip of various loan deals. The fact his contract ends in 2026 also means Wolves need to find a sale as a contract renewal is unlikely.
Several sides in the Bundesliga have already shown an interest and SportBILD report that Wolfsburg are one of them. They’re planning a big summer and had their eye on the striker to bolster their forward options.
Except they were quickly turned down by the Wolves man as he wants to move to a club that will be playing in Europe. Wolfsburg can’t offer that after an 11th placed finish last season.
Thus, Silva will be looking elsewhere. Whether a European contender comes in for him, remains to be seen.
