Report: Man Utd'struggling'to find any interest in forgotten£13m player Ruben Amorim has already made decision over

Manchester United have a substantial list of players who are up for sale this summer, but not all are attracting interest.

The legacy of the Glazer family lives on at Manchester United, with years of awful recruitment left for Ineos to mop up.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe criticised United’s prior decision-makers for the poor recruitment that played a large part in the struggles of the past decade.

This poor transfer business is still proving costly, with United having to pay £89m this summer in transfer installments for the likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, and Jadon Sancho.

The three players listed were flops at Old Trafford, and United are currently working to sell all three of them.

Real Betis wants to buy Antony after his successful loan in Spain. Additionally, Hojlund is wanted by Inter Milan, and Sancho is sought after around Europe, but is still demanding unreasonable wages that nobody will pay.

However, there is one £13m player this summer that United are trying to sell, but currently have no interest from.

Manchester United could be stuck with Tyrell Malacia

While several unwanted players at United are the subject of widespread interest, Tyrell Malacia is proving a harder idea to sell to suitors this summer.

This is according to The Athletic, who claim United are ‘struggling to drum up interest’ in the Dutch full-back who spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV.

Malacia ended up as an Eredivisie winner with PSV in his brief spell at the club; however, there has been no firm interest in the left-back this summer.

PSV opted against triggering a buy option for Malacia despite the United defender having a solid spell on loan and impressing when he got a chance.

Much of why the deal failed to be made permanent could be that the decision from PSV to loan Malacia was never going to work due to his past with Feyenoord, who are arch-rivals of the league winners.

Ruben Amorim has already made up his mind on Tyrell Malacia

Despite no move for Malacia looking likely at the moment, his future at Old Trafford is already thought to be decided.

This is because Ruben Amorim has made up his mind about Malacia, using him sparingly before loaning him out, and when he did play, the Dutchman often struggled to match the pace of the game.

Malacia also has no role in Amorim’s system, not being a natural wing-back nor a centre-back, which means he is stuck in limbo. Due to this, Malacia may end up in a United ‘bomb squad’, alongside Marcus Rashford and others who have no place in the team.

Amorim has Patrick Dorgu, Harry Amass, and soon-to-be new United signing Diego Leon, who are all ahead of Malacia. Hopefully, some interest will emerge over the coming months.
