Manchester United€60m+ request not deemed appropriate–Belief value has collapsed

Napoli made an attempt to sign Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho in the winter market but weren’t successful.

In February, Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna confirmed his club had made an offer to Manchester United. He also stated the move didn’t go through because of the 20-year-old’s high salary demands.

Recent claims from the UK have stated that Manchester United are looking to sell him this summer.

Area Napoli now looks at the Serie A winners’ failed efforts to sign the forward and believe it has now worked in their favour.

Antonio Conte’s side were very interested in the Argentina international but weren’t willing to meet the Red Devils’ €60m request. They didn’t believe the request was ‘appropriate’ and decided to move on.

In this calendar year, Garnacho has managed three goals and five assists across the Premier League and Europa League. Area Napoli say the attacker’s value has collapsed since January.

Taking this into account, they insist the Naples club made the right decision not to spend €60m on the South American. Napoli won’t make an approach again, as it’s explained they’ve moved on to other targets.
