Sunderland have opened talks to sign OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, who has been linked to Manchester United too, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Black Cats have returned to the Premier League this season after winning the Championship playoffs with a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United at Wembley in May, and are now looking to build a squad capable of competing in the division.
The club's owners are eyeing an ambitious summer transfer window, and they have now identified a European star to come in as their new goalkeeper.

According to Romano, Sunderland have now opened talks with Ligue 1 outfit Nice to sign goalkeeper Bulka as part of their ambitious project in the Premier League.
The Poland international, who has been described as 'insane', has been approached by several clubs already this summer about a move, but it's the Black Cats who have entered active talks with his club to get a deal done.
Bulka is 6ft 6 and had a fantastic season in 2024/25 and has attracted interest from some top clubs, with GIVEMESPORT sources revealing earlier this month that Manchester United had identified him as a potential option to replace Andre Onana if he were to leave Old Trafford.
